Dhaulagiri circuit trek is Challenging trek of the off the beaten bath of the Annapurna. In this trek you able to circle the mighty Mount Dhaulagiri(8167m), the seventh highest mountain in the world. Before identify the highest mountain in the world, Dhaulagiri considered as the highest mountain in the world.
How difficulty the Dhaulagiri circuit trek
After Italian base camp Dhaulagiri circuit trek become more Challenging. Pakoban, Glacier camp, Dhaulagiri base camp and French col are more Challenging than other parts.After Dhampus pass to Yak kharka is second Challenging route because of confusing the way even our expert guide and Sherpa are already experience the this Challenge.After Yak kharka trail move down to marpha where trekkers meet the alpine bushes and alpine forest before 2 hours to reach marpha.
Best season for the Dhaulagiri Circuit trek
From the middle of the march to middle of the May is the best season for the Dhaulagiri circuit trek. Jun and july is the rainy season so, river and trail coming many challenging such as landslide ,broken the bridge.
In the Autumn we recommendation starting trekking from second week of the September to October.
Itinerary of the Dhaulagiri circuit trek
14 days or 16 days of the Dhaulagiri trek itinerary is flexible for your trip to the Dhaulagiri circuit. There are total 2 rest day in Dhaulagiri circuit trek. Italian base camp and Dhaulagiri base camp is the two rest in the Dhaulagiri treks Nepal.

We would like to hike the Dhaulagiri trek (camping treking) and also climb the Thaba peak in 20 days.
Our timetable is from 2.10. to 29.10.2016 - starting from Kathmandu.
We are in a very good level of physical fitness and we have some experiences in mountaineering - we have already been on 6000m above sea level.
We are both medical doctors, aged 28 years female and 35 years male. Nationality german and austrian.

Thanks very much your inquiry about the Dhaulagiri circuit plus Thapa peak(Dhampus peak). we did this just last year. we were 5 Nepali people (Guide,porter,climbing Guide).
Beni-phedi-Sibang-Mori-Naura Bhir-tatopani-Dobang-Sallaghari-Italian base camp-Rest day in italian base camp-Glacier camp-Dhulagiri base camp-Hidden valley-rest day in hidden valley-Yak kharka-Marpha-Drive to Beni
trekking is fully camping. from Beni to Marpha. I myself Guide and owners of the trekking agency.there are many chances to modified the itinerary then showing in the internet. What way you like to do trekking. Actually 2 person are ok because how many members so many field staff necessary.
about climbing Dhampus peak we hire climbing guide and buy a climbing equiment. we made a trekking permit but not climbing permit. by rules it is important make a climbing permit. What do you think about this. From Thapa pass(Dhampus pass) we reached peak in 2 hours and down 1 hours. After this we climbed down to the Yakkharka. Yakkhara to next day launch time we reached marpha. Then next day bus to Kathmandu.

Actually within 17 days this trip Dhaulagiri with Dhapmpus peak finished. some ready made itinerary make confused for you so, as iam experienced there some parts are only difficult. As you are already be within 6000 m this trek i think will not difficult.
After Italian base camp very few distance difficult. Have to cross another site called Pakoban there are complete Glacier and Narrow trail. It is important to fix the rope if some body fear to walk.
second difficulty is to reach french col(5300m) from Dhaulagiri base camp. i recommended walked slowly. After french col it is easy to walk to the Hidden valley.
Thapa pass(Dhampus pass) is the base of the Thapa peak(Dhampus peak).It is is 1000 m up from the pass to the top of the Dhampus peak. within 3 hours possible to take a top. and down one and half hours to the Thapa Pass.
From Hidden valley 2 days to down in Marpha. but way become confusing. I lost 3 hrs. Last year because i was new. Now all of our team experience about this. Yak khara where is water then make a camp . After yak kharka within 3 hours down to Marpha.
From Marpha there are regular bus to Pokhara. You can enjoy the hot spring in tatopani if you like to camp from marpha to there.
Permit and cost of the Dhulagiri circuit trek:
Timms card,Annapurna conservation area fee are the Major permit of the Dhaulagiri circuit trek. Climb to the Thapa peak by rule need a climbing permit.Permit cost for climbing 300 usd. I operate this trip last year without climbing permit $2200 usd per person. Climbing permit can be share up to 4 people. if 4 people in the group cost of trek and climb also reduce.
There are many option to reduce the cost. It is depend upon the facility of the guest. iam looking your answers.
